Become a member of a political organisation

For whom is this form intended?

This application form is intended for individuals who wishes to become members of a political organisation.

1. Requirements for the applicant

• You must be an adult citizen of the Republic of Lithuania or a citizen of a Member State of the European Union residing in the Republic of Lithuania.

• If you are a citizen of a Member State of the European Union who does not hold citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania, you must have declared your place of residence in the Republic of Lithuania for at least 6 months prior to the date of verification.

• If you are a citizen of the Republic of Lithuania and wish to become a member of a political party or a political committee you are not required to have declared your place of residence in the Republic of Lithuania.

• You must not be a member of another political organisation.

• You must possess a valid identity document.

• You must not have been declared legally incapable in matters relating to political activities, nor have any restrictions on civil capacity in the field of political activities.

2. How to submit an application?

1. Log in to the POLONEPP portal at https://testpolonepp.registrucentras.lt/ using either the VIISP or iPasas authentication methods.

2. On the main menu, select Become a member of a political organisation.

3. Complete the application form.

3. Completing the application

• Political organisation: Select a political organisation from the list of active political organisations.

• Membership start date: Select the desired membership starting date (no earlier than the following day)

• Contact details: Enter your email address and residential address (if the address is not retrieved from the Population Register).

Important: The residential address must be provided only if you are a citizen of the Republic of Lithuania and the address is not retrieved from the Population Register.

4. Confirmation and submission

• Review the information you have entered.

• Click Submit membership application.

5. What happens next?

• Your application will be reviewed within five working days.

• You will be notified of the decision by email and through a system notification.
