Personal Data Protection

The State Enterprise Centre of Registers processes personal data about you as a natural person and a data subject in the state registers and information systems as well as in own internal information resources, which is provided by you, or the data is received from other sources. Therefore, the main objective is to ensure adequate protection of the personal data processed, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction, damage or alteration and against any other unauthorised processing.

Personal data of natural persons is processed only for specified and legitimate purposes, based on conditions of the legitimate processing of personal data and in compliance with the requirements of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation), the Law of the Republic of Lithuania on Legal Protection of Personal Data), as well as the requirements of other legislative acts governing the processing and protection of personal data.

Please note that the General Data Protection Regulation only applies to the processing of personal data of natural persons, but does not apply to the processing of data of deceased persons. The General Data Protection Regulation also does not apply to the processing of data of legal entities (except for its owners, directors, members of the management bodies, shareholders, etc., who are natural persons).  

• The Centre of Registers processes (as well as provides) personal data of natural persons stored in the state registers and information systems as a part of its legal obligation, acting as a statutory data processor and processing personal data on behalf of data controllers (ministries in charge of the state registers and information systems).
• The Centre of Registers also processes personal data of natural persons as data controller in own internal information resources for the performance of its activities as a part of its legal obligation, legitimate interest, under consent of the data subject, for performance of other functions in the public interest and when concluding and implementing contracts with data subjects.
