Approve or decline new members of political organisations (based on submitted applications)

For whom is this form intended?

This application form is intended for the head or representative (authorised person) of a political organisation who wishes to approve or decline members of political organisations based on submitted applications.

1. Requirements for the prospective member of a political organisation

• The person must be an adult citizen of the Republic of Lithuania or a citizen of a Member State of the European Union residing in the Republic of Lithuania.

• If the person does not hold citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania but holds citizenship of another Member State of the European Union, they must have declared their place of residence in the Republic of Lithuania for at least six months prior to the date of verification.

• If the person holds citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania and wishes to become a member of a political party or a political committee, they are not required to have declared their place of residence in the Republic of Lithuania.

• The person must not be a member of another political organisation.

• The person must have a valid personal identity document.

• The person must not have been declared legally incapable in the matters relating to political activities, nor have any restrictions on their legal capacity in the matters relating to political activities.

2. How to approve or decline an application?

1. Log in to the POLONEPP portal at https://polonepp.registrucentras.lt/ using the VIISP or iPasas authentication methods.

2. On the main menu, select Approve or decline new members (based on submitted applications), and click Order.

3. Find the member whose membership application has the status Submitted. In the Actions column, click the three vertical dots icon and select Evaluate.

3. Confirmation and submission

• Review the information.

• Click Approve or Decline. 

4. What happens next?

• You will be notified of the decision by email and a system notification.
