Register a member of a political organisation

For whom is this form intended?

This application form is intended for the head or representative (authorised person) of a political organisation who wishes to register a member of a political organisation.

1. Requirements for the prospective member of a political organisation

• The person must be an adult citizen of the Republic of Lithuania or a citizen of a Member State of the European Union residing in the Republic of Lithuania.

• If the person is a citizen of a Member State of the European Union who does not hold citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania but holds citizenship of another Member State of the European Union, they must have declared their place of residence in the Republic of Lithuania for at least six months prior to the date of verification.

• If the person holds citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania and wishes to become a member of a political party or a political committee, they are not required to have declared their place of residence in the Republic of Lithuania.

• The person must not be a member of another political organisation.

• The person must possess a valid personal identity document.

• The person must not have been declared legally incapable in the matters relating to political activities, nor have any restrictions on their civil capacity in matters relating to political activities.

2. How to submit an application?

1. Log in to the POLONEPP portal at https://testpolonepp.registrucentras.lt/ using the VIISP or iPasas authentication methods.

2. On the main menu, select Register a member of a political organisation, and click Order.

3. Then click Add member.

4. Complete the application form.

3. Completing the application form

• Political organisation member: Enter the personal identity code, name and surname of the prospective member of the political organisation.

• Membership start date: Select the desired membership starting (no earlier than the following day).

• Contact details: Enter the email address and residential address (if the address is not retrieved from the Population Register).

Important: The residential address must be entered only if the person is a citizen of the Republic of Lithuania and the address is not retrieved from the Population Register

4. Confirmation and submission

• Review the information you have entered.

• Click Check data, then click Add member.

5. What happens next?

• The member will be added to the political organisation’s membership lists from the requested membership start date.

• You will be notified of the new member by email and a system notification.

Important: If you want to add a former member of the political organisation, you must provide their email address. After logging in to POLONR, the person will be able to confirm or decline the membership.
